IG STAR WHITE SILICONE GP IG-380 280ML is a one-component silicone sealant that cures on exposure to atmospheric moisture, forming a flexible elastomeric seal. This general-purpose sealant is designed to fill and seal joints and gaps, preventing water, dust, and air penetration while maintaining flexibility as structures expand or contract.
Material Quality, Durability and Environmental Performance
Made from high-grade silicone polymer, this product offers durable performance with excellent resistance to moisture, ultraviolet (UV) exposure, and typical temperature variations seen in Kenyan indoor and light outdoor conditions. Once cured, the silicone remains elastic, weather-resistant, and long-lasting, making it suitable for both interior and exterior sealing tasks.
Installation, Handling and Compatibility
Ensure all surfaces are clean, dry, and free of dust, grease, and loose particles before application. Cut the nozzle of the cartridge to the desired bead size, insert into a standard caulking gun, and apply evenly along the joint or gap. Smooth the sealant bead within its working time for a neat finish. Allow full cure before exposing to water or mechanical stress.
IG STAR WHITE SILICONE GP IG-380 bonds well to glass, metal, ceramic, wood, and painted surfaces. It is not recommended for use on polyethylene, polypropylene, or very porous surfaces without testing. Always use in a well-ventilated area and wear protective gloves during application.
