Akfix 610 PU Express Montage Adhesive 310ML is a moisture-curing polyurethane adhesive that forms a high-strength, durable bond suitable for both porous and non-porous surfaces. Upon application, the adhesive reacts with ambient humidity to cure rapidly, developing handling strength in approximately 15–20 minutes and full adhesive strength over 24 hours under typical conditions. Its transparent finish delivers an unobtrusive bond line.

Material Quality, Durability and Environmental Performance

Formulated as a thixotropic, non-sag polyurethane prepolymer, this adhesive resists moisture, temperature variation, and chemical exposure. It conforms to D4 water-resistance classification per DIN EN 204, making it suitable for damp environments such as bathrooms and kitchens. The cured bond withstands normal indoor and light outdoor conditions found in Kenya, while maintaining flexibility and integrity without shrinkage.

Installation, Handling and Compatibility

For best results, ensure substrates are clean, dry, and free of dust, grease, or loose material. Cut the cartridge tip and use a standard caulking gun to apply adhesive. Apply in a straight or wavy bead, then press and hold the bonded surfaces together; clamp or support as needed for 15–20 minutes until initial set is achieved. Full cure develops over 24 hours. The adhesive works across a broad temperature range (+5°C to +35°C) and can be used on slightly damp surfaces. Clean fresh adhesive with acetone before it cures.
